Little things go a long way - something that particularly rings true when it comes to maintaining a relationship with a prospective client.

If you’re looking for a simple and automated way of letting your customer know you care and think about him, like sending your customer a happy birthday email or a note thanking him for his business on the exact date he or she signed your contract without ever having to worry about forgetting it, you should have a look at l8r (l-eight-er).

The application is pretty straightforward. Email messages are created and scheduled at the l8r.com website and are automatically sent at the time of your choosing. Tomorrow, in a few months or even next year - l8r delivers your message to intended recipients without any additional intervention on your end. It’s a simple application - but can be transformed into a powerful tool for ongoing and automated customer communication.

A few potential uses of l8r - in addition to the two client examples above - sending periodic emails reminding yourself of your personal and business goals or email reminders for important deadlines could turn l8r into a nice personal productivity enhancer for those of us in sales.

L8r offers a free service with restrictions and low-cost plans for subscribers who are looking for more. LetterMeLater.com and FutureMe.org offer similar services.

Take a look (demo).

I’ve been using LetterMeLater for a while now for free. L8r isn’t nearly as good - even the pay plans.
