An abundance of great sales content. Millions of iPods sold.
A combination that makes the Apple iPod and the many other MP3 players around potentially one of the best sales tools ever.
Your employer or the IRS won’t let you expense them - but that shouldn’t stop you. Load it up with sales podcasts and get more out of the inevitable windshield and travel time.
Here are 6 great sales podcasts for your iPod, Zune or MP3 player.
- The Advanced Selling Podcast - this is a must-subscribe for business to business salespeople. Every week, Bill Caskey and Bryan Neale take on a wide variety of sales topics.
- Focused on sales management - Dave Stein talks to sales leaders in his monthly ESR podcast.
- The Cold Calling Podcast - really about more than just cold calling. Great sales podcast from the UK.
- Tom Sant, an authority in the field of sales proposal writing, talks about better proposals and sales presentations in his frequent audio broadcasts. Great ideas you can use right away.
- Joe and Mike provide sales ideas and interviews on their SalesRoundup Podcast. A new episode every week!
- We mentioned this in a previous post - you really can’t miss Dan Walker’s SalesRepRadio Sales Podcast. Interviews with leading sales trainers and a new episode every 7 days.
By the way, our sister site SalesMarks.com offers a good number of links to sales podcasts as well. While you’re at it, you may want to register for a free account and start adding your own sales links! We’ll be back with more ways to use your iPod as a sales tool in the next few weeks. If we missed a great podcast or if you have feedback on the ones we listed - let’s hear them in the comments!

Podcasts make my day slightly more bearable! Currently I’m listening to a few business podcasts, it’s amazing just how much you can learn when you’re doing… well nothing!
Love the blog by the way!
I feel podcasts are a great start of the day. They make the commute productive and it’s a nice way to “easy into your day” - there are some pretty sharp minds out there, we’d be silly not to take advantage of it.
I echo Jan’s comments completely. Listeners to our podcast series rave about the highly tactical, pragmatic and often time contrarian approach we have for the practice of greater sales. So far we have amassed 20 episodes that deal with topics like “Strategies For Selling Intangible Products”, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) For Sales Success” and “Gain Clarity Into Your Pipeline With A-I-D-A”. They are all free and available on iTunes and at http://www.bashostrategies.com/community/.
Happy selling!
Bill, thanks for your comment. I’m going to have to subscribe to your podcast - got quite a bit of windshield time coming up so it’s a timely suggestion!
As a suggestion, please don’t make registration mandatory before I can get to your podcast. It stopped me from downloading them.
